I treat my photography as a worldmaking practice, able to open doors to kinder worlds. Taken in an environment where I've felt so unheard, unheld, unseen and isolated, I was asling the question: where is the knowledge about how to hold the black feminist's body? the camera and the light here offer a suggestion of what and how: gently, tenderly, carefully and with respect.
